About Me

Overview

As a graduate with a unique blend of mathematical precision and creative game design expertise, I bring a distinctive approach to game development. My dual background in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and Game Design from Toronto Film School enables me to tackle both the technical and creative aspects of game development with equal proficiency.

I work fluently across multiple development environments, with expertise in both Unity and Unreal Engine. My programming toolkit includes Python, C#, C++, and Blueprint, allowing me to adapt to any project's technical requirements. I maintain clean, efficient workflows using version control systems like Git and project management tools such as Azure, complemented by proficiency in creative software including Photoshop and Illustrator.

My recent work includes DystO2pia, a horror stealth game where I served as both programmer and level designer, implementing core gameplay mechanics including the entire oxygen system. I've also independently developed MystRift Defenders, a roguelike card game that draws inspiration from Slay the Spire and Plants vs Zombies, demonstrating my ability to execute complex projects from concept to completion.

My academic background combines an Honours Bachelor's in Mathematics, specializing in combinatorics and optimization, with a minor in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, alongside a Game Design and Development diploma from Toronto Film School. This unique combination allows me to approach game development with both analytical rigor and player-focused design thinking.

My passion for game design traces back to more than 10 years of experience as a Dungeon Master, where I've crafted engaging narratives and balanced gameplay mechanics for tabletop RPGs. This creative foundation has evolved through numerous modding projects, including custom levels for StarCraft and Portal, and a successful Doki Doki Literature Club mod that has garnered over 20,000 views.

My professional background includes significant project management experience, having led a virtual real estate development initiative where I built and managed cross-functional teams. Combined with years of tutoring experience, I've developed strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. I excel both as a team player and an independent worker, demonstrated through my proven ability to balance multiple projects while consistently delivering high-quality results.

Whether working solo or as part of a team, I bring a unique combination of technical expertise, creative vision, and professional experience to every project. I'm passionate about creating engaging, innovative gaming experiences that challenge and delight players.
